Movie [One Day] original motion picture soundtrack music by Jungbeom Kim (Puditorium)

Film music director Kim Jeong-beom (Puditorium) took charge of the music for director Lee Yoon-gi’s film [One Day], which stimulates emotions once again following [A Wonderful Day] and [Love Talk].

The movie [One Day] tells the story of a man named Kang-soo who sees the soul of a woman who fell into a coma one day and a woman who sees the world for the first time as a spirit through an unexpected accident. The relationship between Kim Jeong-beom and director Lee Yoon-ki goes back to the movie [Woman, Jeong-hye]. ‘Maldive’, a song from Pudding’s 1st album, was inserted into the trailer, and he started working on film music in earnest as a music director for the movie [Love Talk].
In [A Wonderful Day], as a music director at the Tribeca Film Festival and the San Francisco Film Festival in the United States, he portrayed the emotional changes of a man and a woman over the course of a day in sophisticated old jazz, drawing keen attention from local media and audiences.
The meeting between the two has expanded the range of emotions with emotional directing and meticulous and vague music, so the reunion in this movie was also meaningful, and we also created a time of comfort and healing unique to fantasy emotional dramas.

While working on the OST for the movie [One Day], Kim Jung-beom was particularly concerned about making music that was more accurate and distinctly related to the scene in the movie than usual. He made sure that his touch naturally melted into the movie by watching the movie over and over again so that the feeling of live performance could be revived without missing the technical part so that the music could be accurately engaged with the IN-OUT point of the scene. Even the final editing, we put our heart and soul into each and every sound delivery, increasing the level of immersion so that the viewer can fully immerse themselves in the movie.

He produced [One Day] OST main theme, ‘One Day’, inspired by the scene where the two main characters, Kang-su and Mi-so, are walking on a cherry blossom road. This song is the first song I made and the core of the OST, and I worked while thinking about the calm flow of people in the streets where cherry blossoms are scattered.
Centering on the 22nd orchestra version of ‘One Day’, the piano version of track 4, ‘Cherry Blossom Leaves Fall’, and another orchestra version, track 25, ‘Cherry Blossom Leaves Fall Again’ were completed in three versions. The orchestration was handled by Andre Mehmari, a Brazilian jazz pianist and composer who worked together in the movie [Heosamgwan], creating a delicate yet deeply penetrating emotional line. In addition, the second track ‘Your’, which appears in the opening scene of the movie, is also the main theme of the OST, which doubles the irony of sadness in the bright melody, making the audience feel dejected from the start.

[One Day] The most noteworthy aspect of the OST is the track list. If you look at the list, you will feel as if you are slowly walking along the cherry blossom road following the movie. It resembles a springtime poem. It was built in the hope that listening to the OST [One Day] will remind you of a warm spring day scene in the movie, just as you recall past memories when you slowly read a poem line by line.
If the title of the [Wonderful Day] OST track is the time for a day, the [One Day] OST is a record of a moment. [One Day] I hope that the OST will be the much-needed consolation you will find when you are having a hard time, along with the laughter of Kang-su and her smile walking down the street where cherry blossom petals fall one spring day.
In January, along with the release of a new single [AVEC/AVEC] of Fooditorium, Kim Jung-beom published an essay in the Busan Ilbo column [Puditorium’s music store], which has been serialized since 2012 (publisher Bichae), and in the second half of 2017, We are aiming for a house sale.
In addition, as a DJ of SBS Power FM [After Club], as a full-time professor of Sungshin Women’s University’s Department of Contemporary Applied Music, and as a film music director, she is steadily carrying out various music-related activities. His challenge will continue in 2017.
