This is a 2023 reissue vinyl LP pressing of For You by Prince. The American Grammy-winner singer-songwriter originally released his debut studio album on April 7, 1978, via Warner Bros Records. The album was fully arranged, composed, performed and produced price, in September 1977 at Sound 80 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he had previously made a demo. Friend and producer David Rivkin (later known as David Z) provided advice and engineering assistance. For You reached No. 163 on the Billboard 200 and No. 21 on the Billboard Soul chart. The album also reached number 200 on the French Albums Chart and number 156 on the UK Albums Chart.
