‘THE UNSEEN’ is the first mini-album of Shownu X Hyungwon, who formed a unit 8 years after Monsta X’s debut. Shownu X Hyungwon sings about ‘relationships with strangers, the trust and confidence in each other that exist within them’. The process of turning questions about relationships into exclamation marks was newly reinterpreted through the teamwork of Shownu and Hyungwon, who are similarly different.

The title song ‘Love Me A Little’ is a song depicting the conflict between my true self and what the other person wants me to be. The two members’ delicate and edgy vocals and performances leave a deep impression. In particular, Hyungwon was in charge of producing the title song himself and expressed it in Shownu X Hyungwon’s unique style with addictive yet colorful charms.

The music video leads the narrative by facing the endlessly increasing number of different ‘me’s. By portraying oneself in various situations, conveying the charm of vivid reality and dreamy fantasy, while expressing acceptance and denial of the infinite gaze from various perspectives from various angles, endless longing for the original ‘me’. The images of Shownu and Hyungwon who draw the process of suffering and agony help the immersion in the song. I drew the process of finding my true self through the me that others want, the me now, the me passing by countless people in everyday life, and the me trapped in prejudice and misunderstanding.

Shownu X Hyungwon’s charming intersection melts into the entire album. Love Therapy is a hybrid pop style featuring the two peoples simple yet mournful vocals, Roll With Me, another self-composed song by Hyungwon with an impressive unique composition, Play Me depicting a strange feeling of love and hate for the other person, Up to ‘Slow Dance’, where the vocals stand out, the two of them built their own world more firmly with music that is different from Monsta X’s time.
